Head Coach
As an athlete I ran cross country for Wimborne AC and represented Dorset up to a national level. 2011 was when my coaching journey started as a LiRF (Leadership in Running Fitness) with England Athletics. Over the next few years with an interest in multiple sports and an interest in how the body moves I built on my knowledge with qualifications in nutrition and becoming a Sports Massage therapist.
I have coached with Runblandford as well as standalone conditioning sessions. The 2021/22 season was my first true experience with netball. Starting out as a spare pair of hands and to see what I thought of it. I’d passed my EN Level 1 coaching course by the end of the season. For the 22/23 & 23/24 seasons I also worked with the Dorset FA ETC (Satellite /County) for girls as a physical performance coach during a continued study in strength & conditioning.
I’ve been fortunate to have supported coaching teams at Dorset Netball PDP (Satellite/County) and plan to continue being involved going forward. The 2023/24 season has seen me complete my EN Level 2 coaching and CiRF (Coach in Running Fitness). Away from the courts I work within the Electrical Wholesale industry specialising in lighting, I’m a regular Parkrunner with the odd Marathon or Ultra thrown in.
